Strength in Alliance at Greenway Centre: Thank You to Voscur & All Partners

We know we need to invest in prevention and in healthy communities if we are going to tackle the crisis on our frontline NHS and health system. That means everything from supporting young people with their mental wellbeing, and improving community sports and fitness, to making sure people can heat their homes.

This work is often best led, delivered, and sustained by communities and not the health system. That is why over 100 community and voluntary sector organisations from across the region have come together to form the VCSE Alliance to work with the health system to improve investment in health prevention and community services.

This month, the Alliance all met here at Greenway Centre for a fantastic, motivating, and inspirational day. We talked about where we are already having an impact and what we want to do next. It was heartening to hear about the NHS strategies, boards, and policies in which we have already been invited to participate, giving us a chance to have our say.

Thanks so much to Voscur for hosting the Alliance, to all the Community and Voluntary Sector Ambassadors for getting involved, and to the Integrated Care Board for supporting the set-up of this Alliance.
