Bring Your Broken Bits to Southmead Repair Cafe This Saturday 29th March

25/03/2025

By: Eve Payne, Community Development Worker

Come along to our first ever Southmead Repair Café at Greenway Centre on Saturday 29th March. Southmead Repair Café is volunteer run and where we help people fix their broken items. We focus on reducing waste, upcycling, and giving things like old lamps a new lease (or lead!) of life. So, bring your broken bits along, whether that is a sewing repair or electrical wear and tear.

On Saturday 29th the launch of the Southmead Repair Café is part of a bigger Spring celebration with lots of things to enjoy. Click HERE to find out all about the day which includes – free cooking demos and tasters, home energy and climate action advice, Greenway Market stalls, the open day for Greenway’s new Boxing Zone, Southmead Seed Swap, and Meadows to Meaders story sharing.

After 29th March Southmead Repair Café will run on the last Saturday of every month alongside Greenway Market. We are currently looking for volunteers with experience in electrical repairs so if you can lend a hand do contact us.

We are a member of Repair Café International Foundation which is growing across the world. You can find out more about the repair cafes in Bristol on Facebook by following Bristol Repair Cafes

Keep an eye on Greenway’s digital What’s On HERE which shows all Southmead Repair Café dates alongside all the other things you can come and take part in.
