January 2025: New Glencoyne Plans Already Submitted

28/01/2025

Since our last update about making a new planning application to reduce the height of the proposed buildings on Glencoyne Square – to make the project more financially viable, and to alleviate some concerns – we are pleased to let you know that we have now submitted the plans to the Council’s Planning Department.we are pleased to let you know that we have now submitted the plans to the Council’s Planning Department.

This type of application can take around thirteen weeks to go through the system, but we are hopeful for approval – we have our fingers crossed and twelve weeks to go!

Having a five-story building had been a concern for some residents, who were also worried about the number of parking spaces that would be needed to accommodate people living in the new homes.  Although there will be one less level and ten less flats, we are sure that the views from the proposed fourth/top floor will still be spectacular.

The picture below on the left shows you what the plan for the buildings currently looks like – and the picture on the right is how it will look if our new proposal is accepted.
