Brighter Futures – New Campaign for our Children and Young People’s Services
12/11/2025
You may know us as the charity behind two vibrant community hubs in Southmead – Greenway Centre and The Ranch Adventure Playground & Youth Space. But did you know that as well as offering play and youth open access sessions at The Ranch, we also deliver a range of targeted services for children and young people, designed to support their wellbeing and help them build healthier, happier futures?
Every day our dedicated teams work with the 1,100 children and young people registered with us, helping them to thrive. We support them to build confidence, help to create opportunities, or guide them through tough times. We offer preventative support to teach resilience, spark creativity, and make sure children and young people feel seen. We work responsively providing one-to-one mentoring and small group therapeutic sessions for low mood, anxiety, or depression.
We are proud of our impact, powered by funding sources including Bristol City Council and the NHS, along with grants from trusts and foundations. But costs are rising, and competition for funding grows, and at the same time the needs of children and young people are increasing too, especially due to the rise in the need for mental health support.
We all know it is not easy to be a young person today, and we want to find more resources to keep adapting our support so no one is left behind. We want to keep supporting our 1,100 children and young people next year, but also to reach even more who need our services.
Can you help us by sharing our new Brighter Futures campaign? Do look out for our brightly coloured assets and images. Some of the photos we are using in the campaign have been taken by young people themselves. The one above, taken at The Ranch by Malakai of his friend Ayham, is our Youth Photo Competition winner – well done Malakai.
From next week you will see stories and adverts across our social media pages saying more about what we do, and to help us raise vital funds. Do make sure you are following our accounts on both Facebook – The Ranch and Greenway Centre, and on Instagram – The Ranch and Greenway Centre.
We would love it if you could share and spread the word about our campaign, and thank you for any support as we set out to make sure our local children and young people have fairer, more equal, and brighter futures.
