Regeneration Team meet Inclusion Southmead

This week the regeneration team met with Inclusion Southmead, a group of local residents who raise awareness about being disabled and campaign to improve disabled access to local shops, parks and amenities.

We want to make sure residents from all walks of life have a say in the outcome of the regeneration  and views of Inclusion Southmead are particularly valued. Being  group who understand the troubles that bad design can cause to access and mobility from first hand, lived experience, getting their opinions on what should be considered in the design was very useful and the feedback can be used to help inform some of the design decisions made.

As always, it is not too late to have your ideas heard. Is there something you can think of which would improve access or mobility in the area? All ideas are welcome.

Who better to point out problems than those of you who use the area everyday. Let us know so we can fix it together!

Send us your thoughts by filling in comment cards found at The Greenway Centre, SCART Shop, Southmead Library or Southmead and Henbury Family Practice, or, do it online by clicking here!
