It’s Holiday Time at The Ranch Adventure Playground & Youth Space

We are super egg-cited that the school Easter holidays have begun, and today is the first day of our two-weeks of holiday sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 12 – 4 PM.

There is lots of egg-stra fun planned for our Ranch families, alongside all the usual adventurous play around our lovely site including around the stream and forest school areas, high stakes play on the massive swings and death slide, water and sand play, arts and crafts, games, competitions, and sports.

And it looks like the weather is on our side this week – the sun has got his hat on!

Along with our brilliant team, some of our favourite visitors like the SS Great Britain crew, and Bristol naturalist Steve England, will be leading wonderful activities.  There will also be cooking, and toasting things over the fire pit.

For children who usually have free school meals lunch will be provided, thanks to Your Holiday Hub Bristol, plus there is always plenty of snacks to make.

We are delighted that the mural designed by our children and young people is ready to greet everyone today. It was painted by the artist Silent Hobo who worked with everyone on their ideas to make a unique work of art. They wanted the mural to reflect our lovely outside space, bikes, wildlife, a big welcome in different languages, and, of course, Minecraft! Thank you to everyone involved.

Do pass on to your friends, family, and neighbours in Southmead that everyone is warmly welcome at The Ranch during the holidays.  Play sessions are for ages up to school year 7, children under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult, and Youth Space sessions are on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
