Southmead Festival 2026 is on its way – can you lend a hand or sponsor an activity?

Everyone is invited to Southmead’s community summer party of the season, on Saturday 25^th July, 11am – 4pm. This year the festival theme is ‘Southmead-on-Sea’ and we are hoping to be able to offer lots of seaside themed activities; from sitting in deckchairs with a cuppa to building sandcastles, and water games to donkey rides for little ones. We are now looking for sponsors to fund fun but simple activities for everyone to enjoy – can you help?

The festival has now been running for around fifty-five years with free entry and lots of affordable things to do at its heart. Community groups all pull together and put on anything from tea tents for the elderly to face-painting for children, and everything in between.

The popular Greenway Market will be in full swing in the hall with tables and tables of super bargains, hand-made crafts and gifts, delicious treats, and pre-loved treasures. Our Community Stage will be bursting with song, dance displays, and the fancy dress competition; what will you wear – a snorkel, flippers, or rubber ring, or come as a mermaid, a Neptune, a Seahorse or a shell?

All groups and organisations from across Bristol are invited to take a stall and offer a game or competition that can fit in with the festival theme. What can your group or organisation offer so residents in Southmead can get to know you and what you do?
