Carnival Fitness
Carnival Fitness is a body-weighted dance fitness class incorporating basic dance steps and inspired by the magic and energy of a Caribbean Carnival. Our class is just like playing mas (masquerade), waving your colourful rags and flags, jumping and whining (rhythmic moving of the waistline) to the best Caribbean music! We create a safe and inclusive environment promoting fitness, health and wellbeing, cultural awareness and community cohesion. Come and join us and enjoy a carnival every week!
Circuits
Circuit classes for all levels of fitness. A whole body approach using a combination of bodyweight, weights and cardio based exercises. Taught by our Fitness team, you will be put through your paces whilst enjoying good music and good company.
Dance Fit
A choreographed dance fitness class aimed to burn calories, tone the body, improve and strengthen your cardiovascular system. Using music fusions from around the world, the work out is fun for all ages and fitness levels. A great stress and anxiety reliever, this class will uplift your wellbeing and mental health as well. There are no expectations to what you can achieve – tailor the class to your needs. Two left feet…not a problem!
Forever Active
A follow on from our Strength and Balance classes. This class will push you to continue improving your overall fitness, strength and balance. This class is part of our exercise referral offering aimed at those 55 years old and up.
Kettlebells
Kettlebells is a workout which helps tone your body and lose weight with a series of movements using Kettlebells. It has many health benefits, and is a great cardiovascular fitness workout.
LBT
This class is a whole body approach, with a particular focus on the lower body: Legs, Bums and Tums! Great instructors, motivating music and a guaranteed great time… so come and get involved. Suitable for all fitness levels!
Pilates
Pilates is a system of controlled exercises that engage the mind and condition the whole body. Pilates suits all levels of fitness – instructors are practised in adapting exercises for people’s abilities and injuries. Excellent for mobility, strength and flexibility.
Qigong
Qigong (pronounced Chi-Gong) translates as ‘energy work’ and is an ancient Chinese form of exercise. It is a discipline that involves the mind, breath and movement to create a calm, natural balance of energy. It’s a beautiful, slow, meditative healing art which promotes health, balance, energy, awareness and relaxation. Learn to find stillness in motion. Qigong is beneficial for anyone who wants to improve their health and wellbeing. It’s especially good for people with low mood, anxiety and depression and for older and socially isolated people. This class can be done seated or standing. No previous experience is necessary.
Ree Balance
This Pilates and stretch based workout, set to motivating music, allows the body to gently flow from sequence to sequence. Helping to improving flexibility, core and posture. Being an evening class, it’s a great mindful wind down from your day.
Ree Pump
This is a progressive complete body workout using barbells and weight plates. Traditional resistance training exercises such as squats, lunges, presses and rows take on another dimension through the use of functional, multi-plane movement. Great for weight management, improving strength and toning up the whole body.
Ree Combat
Utilising varying combinations of punches, blocks, strikes and kicks to provide one serious cardiovascular workout, combined with the control of balance and whole-body conditioning.
Strength and Balance
GP REFERRAL CLASS ONLY This class focuses on exercises to develop and improve your balance and strength. At the start of the class you will do some warm-up exercises to loosen your muscles and joints. You will then be guided through some exercises to work on your strength and stamina, as well as challenge your balance. The exercises will be adapted to suit your needs and you are free to work at your own pace. You will do some stretches and relaxation at the end of the class.
Tai Chi
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art now widely practiced for the beneficial effect it has on health. Its slow, graceful movements link together to create a meditative dance which is safe for people of all ages to enjoy. Practising Tai Chi will improve your movement, co-ordination and balance. Clubbercise
Clubbercise is a fun full body workout with banging soundtrack that gets great results. The routines combine dance, toning and combat moves with options to suit all fitness levels. Classes are held in a darkened room with disco lights and our trademark LED glow sticks. This class will book up quickly so hurry and get you rave on!
Barre Fitness
Barre Fitness Class helps to burn calories by engaging all the muscles in the body, which is especially important for those who are new to exercise. The combination of strength training and cardio increases fat burning and improves overall fitness.
Total Body Conditioning
Total Body Conditioning is a multi-level full body workout that targets all of the major muscle groups. This workout is designed to contain challenging exercises that will increase strength, decrease body fat and improve overall conditioning.
Zumba
Zumba is a fitness program that involves cardio and Latin-inspired dance. Suitable for all fitness levels, a fun and effective workout.
Stretch and Tone
This class focuses on core and pelvic floor strengthening and lots of stretching for the whole body with particular attention on the shoulders and hips. As well as all those typically tight muscles… leaving you feeling stretched and toned.
