Music to our Ears in Southmead!
BCfm Radio, one of Bristol’s community radio stations based in Easton, has been donating DAB radios to over 50s. It’s a wonderful initiative to support those who might be feeling isolated. Radios are a great way to connect with news, stories, plays, music and much more!
BCfm Radio donated two DAB radios to us to give to people who may be particularly isolated.
We delivered one DAB radio to Jim. He’s a Neighbours Connect Southmead participant who is 88 years old and lives alone.
When we delivered his radio, he said, “it will cheer me up listening to the radio as I sit here all day watching the TV and I’m fed up hearing about the virus. I shall look forward to listening to some country and western music now!”
