Celebrate Southmead’s Culture, Cuisine, Climate, & Craft: Saturday 29th March

04/03/2025

We are delighted to be hosting a celebration of Southmead’s Culture, Cuisine, Climate and Craft here at Greenway on Saturday 29th March from 12 – 3 PM.

Our event is part of the wider Bristol Community Festival events happening across the City over two weeks.

Firstly, follow the delicious smells into our café space to find cooking demos and treats to taste thanks to One Green Kitchen, Travelling Kitchen, and Bristol Sudanese Association.

Then step into the Main Hall for the Greenway Market, a place of discovery, delights, homemade crafts from local makers, bric-a-brac, and homemade cakes and bakes.

We will be launching the new Southmead Repair Café at this event so bring your things along for fixing, or volunteer your own skills to help out other residents with any broken items.

Southmead’s very own stage soap opera cast, Meadows to Meaders, will also be in the house to chat with you about your school dinner experiences and plans for their next performance.

And, in partnership with Bristol Seed Swap we are also excited to be holding the first Southmead Seed Swap, bringing the joy of a growing exchange to Greenway for our residents.

At the same time, we are proud to be opening our new Boxing Zone here at Greenway and would like to show as many residents as possible around this new area created especially for children and young people.  We know that non-combat boxing encourages confidence and supports mental health, and we are delighted to be able to bring this opportunity to Southmead.

The aim of Bristol Community Festival is to encourage residents to come together to celebrate positive change in communities and to inspire us to take action about the things we care about.
