Person Specification: Nature Wellbeing Groups Facilitator
Roles and Responsibilities
Key duties
Group delivery:
- Deliver nature‑based wellbeing groups and activities using a person‑centred, compassionate, and trauma‑informed approach.
- Work holistically with participants to support their wellbeing, health, learning, and employment.
- Support the wider wellbeing group programme.
- Signpost and refer participants to appropriate internal and external services.
- Support volunteer facilitators involved in delivering the programme.
- Work with the Wellbeing Service Coordinator to ensure smooth referral processes and participant progression.
- Attend and participate in one-to-one line management and performance reviews.
- Engage in reflective practice to support safe and effective work with participants.
- Work with the Learning and Wellbeing Development Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure participant wellbeing in line with policy and best practice.
- Engage in team meetings and collaborative working to ensure participants receive the best support.
- Work to agreed performance indicators.
Reporting and quality assurance:
- Maintain accurate and timely records using our systems and processes.
- Provide monthly reports, including data, feedback, and case studies, to support internal and external reporting.
- Ensure case files are complete, including confidentiality agreements, outcomes, outputs, and case notes.
- Record safeguarding concerns promptly and accurately.
- Support continuous improvement by contributing to the development of systems and processes.

- Lead on key deliverables and work collaboratively with the team.

- Work flexibly, including occasional evenings, weekends, and across multiple sites as required.

Essential
- Skills and knowledge around wellbeing, health and nature.
- Skills and ability to work in a group setting with vulnerable adults to affect change.
- Excellent IT skills, proficient using Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and CRM databases.
- Experience in wellbeing, nature or health role.
- Experience of strengths-based assessment and person-centred practice with vulnerable adults.
- Experience and understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
- Experience of service promotion through effective marketing and social media campaigns to engage partners and participants.
- Proactive planner with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Excellent ability to manage a case load and engage participants to outcomes.
- Able to proactively address problems, plan, and seek pragmatic solutions.
- Able to give and receive feedback constructively.
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and service users.
- Adept in working to GDPR standards and managing confidential personal information.
- Adept at supporting monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Adept at developing and improving processes.

- Experience of supporting wellbeing, pre‑employment support, or community learning initiatives.
- Experience or knowledge of the benefits of nature on wellbeing and health.
- Experience of project reporting.
- Experience of delivering outcomes for funders.
- Experience and knowledge of complex databases.

- Knowledge of asset‑based working.
