Person Specification: Customer Experience And Systems Manager
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities
- Manage incoming Exercise Referral forms and ensure accurate processing. Manage and develop the Exercise Specialist service.
- Conduct initial and follow-up consultations with referred clients.
- Deliver one-to-one exercise referral sessions, including program design and session facilitation during shift hours.
- Lead group exercise sessions tailored to special populations during scheduled shifts.
- Lead our Young Gym service and supervise the weekday Young Gym period.
- Perform general gym floor duties, enhancing member experience through inductions, facility tours, personalised programs, and ad-hoc support.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all gym areas.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of fitness campaigns and member engagement events.
- Work with the Health and Fitness Manager to develop new income streams and grant funding opportunities.

ESSENTIAL
- Level 3 personal training qualification.
- Level 3 exercise referral qualification.
- Experience of working with children and young people
- Experience working with vulnerable adults/older people
- Experience of working within a gym or leisure facility.
- Comfortable with CRM systems and IT, particularly Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Self-disciplined, able to work independently, and proactive.
- Organised and punctual.
- Able to motivate and inspire others, bringing energy and positivity.
- Confident and empathetic communicator with experience of working directly with people. Experience in customer service with an adaptable communication style for a diverse customer group.
- Strong Health and Safety awareness and ability to follow, scrutinise, and develop risk assessments.
- Team-working skills – flexible, collaborative, and supportive.
- Understanding safeguarding practice and knowledge of the issues facing vulnerable adults and children.
- Understanding of data protection principles
