Summer at The Ranch

Not long until school’s out for summer in Southmead.  Our wonderful Youth & Play team are gearing up to offer another jam packed six weeks of fun.  Join Lilla, Del, Mattie, Tara, Andie, and the rest of the gang for exciting days and chilled evenings for children, families, and young people.  Huge thanks to our volunteers who dedicate their time to making sessions at The Ranch (Southmead Adventure Playground) fantastic and free.

Summer at The Ranch begins on Tuesday 23^rd July with a special End of Term party.  The times for this first session are different, 3 pm – 6 pm for a BBQ and Bouncy Castle bonanza!  After that, play sessions will be every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 12 noon to 4 pm, through to Thursday 29^th August.  Everyone is welcome, but children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Look out for news on the Facebook page for our age 13+ Young People’s sessions.  Our new Youth Engagement Manager Del, who has been working with us for ages with his wealth of experience, but has just taken on this new role, will be offering some great activities and gatherings including music production and gaming – come and find him at the Southmead Festival in the Young People’s Tent to say hello.

So pop the dates and times on your calendar for free play and activities, and come and enjoy the summer days.  For kids who have free meals at school, there’ll be a meal and snacks ready.  Thanks to HAF and all our activity partners.
