New: Greenway Climate Cafe – Starts Friday 2nd October

17/09/2026

Hi, I am Emily and the new Climate and Energy Coordinator here at the Trust – pictured above with Dawn, one of our Community Climate Action Heroes.  I will be working with residents like Dawn and the wider community to turn the ideas in Southmead’s Community Climate Action Plan into reality; also on a new home energy project to help lower water, gas, and electric bills.

To get to know residents and bring us together to chat about climate and sustainability in Southmead, I am beginning a new group here at Greenway Centre.

Please join me in Community Corner every Friday, from 2-4pm.  We will decide together which topics we would like to focus on by working through the action plan – read the plan > here

There will also be some activities to enjoy together relating to energy, transport, food, nature, waste and resources, business and education, and homes and buildings.

Our first group mission will be to organise a film screening of the National Emergency Briefing at Greenway Centre – if you would like to be involved in that but cannot attend the group, just contact me via the details below.

If you are keen to become involved, connect with like minded neighbours, and make a difference in the community, do come along on Friday 2nd October, or drop-in whenever you can. A hot drink and a warm welcome await in Community Corner.
