New Freedom In Motion Group: Begins Tuesday 10th June

We are delighted to announce a new class here at Greenway, from next Tuesday, run by Lottie Ball – it sounds like a truly fabulous and fun session.  Here is the full story from Lottie:

I would encourage anyone who needs more movement in their lives to come along to my Freedom In Movement Group.  We cover all sorts – from breathwork and relaxation techniques, to joint flexibility, balancing exercises, and high energy dance grooves.

The music is an eclectic mix of Latin, Soul, Pop, 80s bangers, and Classical, plus suggestions from the floor – anything goes really! The aim is to feel good and release stress.

I am so passionate about this group and hope you can join us. All abilities are welcome, and everyone goes at their own pace. Some of the work is chair based, and we take breaks when needed.

I love working in this part of town and how Greenway is always buzzing with community. I began Freedom In Motion here last year, in partnership with ARA Recovery For All, and so some of you will know me already.

I am a movement therapist and dance teacher, based in Bristol since 2001. Over the years I have been lucky to have worked all over the City in schools, care homes, and community centres, with a whole range of people.

As well as working here at Greenway, I have worked with the amazing pupils at Horfield Primary School for the past two years to create their Year 6 performances, and from 2018 to 2020 I facilitated movement therapy at St Peter’s Hospice.

I am also keen to start a performance group for young people. This could include theatre, dance, and music. Creative arts are great for self-expression, building confidence, and making new friends.
