Making Christmas Lunch Count

Next week our Greenhouse Cafe team will be serving Christmas lunch every day (2nd – 6th December).  The aroma of freshly made gravy (ahhh!) will be tempting customers towards a delicious array of festive treats including traditional turkey, Pigs in Blankets, homemade Yorkshire Puddings, Cauliflower Cheese, roast potatoes, and tasty Chickpea Loaf with Christmas glaze to tickle the meat-free taste buds!

Our halls and walls are literally decked with trees and decorations given by kind well-wishers.  On Monday morning the finishing touches will be added to the tables – one of our local residents makes and donates beautiful natural arrangements.  Relaxed and friendly, our cafe is a great place for fellow volunteers, colleagues and friends to meet and celebrate the season – to reminisce about 2019 and make plans for 2020.

Here at Southmead Development Trust we will be reminiscing about the great improvements made to the Greenhouse Cafe with our community business grant from Power to Change.  We are delighted to be heading into the festive season and New Year with a busy community business that is, bit by bit, beginning to thrive, supported by happy customers.

When you eat with us you support the work we do in our community.  Every penny that passes through our till goes in to keeping our Centres open for the residents of Southmead and its neighbours.  So why not join us and make your Christmas lunch count?
