Glencoyne Square Update

15/04/2023

By Amy Kinnear, CEO

You may remember that in the summer of 2022 we submitted our updated designs for the Glencoyne Community Led Housing project to Bristol City Council’s planning department. The new designs for 187 new homes incorporated much of the feedback from residents in a local survey, exhibition and consultation event at Greenway. These updated designs can still be found on our website.

Since then the team has been busy responding to the comments which came through on the planning portal. With input from the Arnside and Glencoyne Regeneration Project group, we have been finalising details such as the energy strategy for the new homes, the design of the balconies and courtyards, and whether we can plant more trees in the local area. These responses will be sent back in the next few months and we can then look forward to the sign off from Bristol City Council. Watch this space for news of a future committee date!

Over the last few months you might have seen people working hard on Glencoyne Square. Contractors have been scoping out things like utilities and sewers. In the coming months you will probably see more contractors there. If there is any disruption or road closures scheduled we will be sure to let you know.
