A New Look at Greenway Gym

I am so pleased and proud to let you all know that our mission to refurbish and revamp the Greenway Gym was finally completed at the end of the Summer. This included a lot of painting to give the Gym a new look. Thank you to everyone who chipped in to make it such a wonderful new space for health. We now have new equipment, signs, colours, music system, plus extra group classes on our timetable. We have also strengthened our health and safety procedures and have taken on new staff.
It really has been a long and bumpy road which has had its challenges, but now I really believe we have finally nailed it to make Greenway Gym, with its loyal members, a very strong competitor for other gyms in North Bristol. Lovely gym member Anne Street said, “I’ve turned seventy-one in the past year while being a member, and I can honestly say I feel so much better in terms of my fitness and physical strength, you have an amazing gym which I’ve seen improve more and more every month, keep up the great work”.
We had some fantastic volunteers from Pieminister who kindly took time out of their working day to throw on some overalls and give the gym its brand-new colour scheme – thank you to everyone at Pieminister. Without this team of super-stars we would have really struggled to get the final phase completed.

I would love to show you around the gym, introduce you to our classes, and hear how we can support your health at Greenway – we are here for the whole community. Our Health & Wellbeing Coach David can support you to take the first steps to improving your physical health, which goes hand in hand with your mental health, and we can help you find ways to support that too.
If you are recently retired, or have a bit of time on your hands, I would like to offer you free gym membership for one month between 10 AM and 3 PM daily. As long as you are receiving a state pension this offer is for you. As well as exercising in the gym, we have lots of friendly group fitness classes you might like to try, so do get in touch to find out more.
