GP Referral Staying Steady in Bristol – Falls Prevention class
Our Staying Steady – falls prevention class, is designed for people who are worried about being unsteady on their feet and losing strength as part of the natural ageing process.
The classes focus on exercises to develop and improve your balance and strength.
At the start of the class you will do some warm-up exercises to loosen your muscles and joints.
You will then be guided through some exercises to work on your strength and stamina, as well as challenge your balance. The exercises will be adapted to suit your needs and you work at your pace. You will do some stretches and relaxation at the end of the class.
Research shows that exercises to work on stamina, strength and balance reduce people’s risk of falling and improve confidence. Our classes are led by specially trained Level 4 Postural Stability instructors, targeting issues that are specific to you that will improve your balance.
Mondays, 14:00-14:45
Thursdays, 12:00 – 12:45
