Southmead Stories of Courage Picnic – All Welcome on Wednesday 10th June

20/05/2026

This summer, as part of Bristol Refugee Festival and Bristol Community Festival, we are hosting a picnic in Greenway Community Garden. We invite you to come along, share some food, and share a story if you have one.

We are gathering Southmead Stories of Courage – real stories from residents about moments of bravery, resilience, and hope. Have you, or has someone you know, made a courageous journey, left a difficult situation behind, or helped someone else find safety?

You can share your story on camera, or simply speak it aloud into a recorder, or we can write it down for someone else to read out. You are also welcome to come along and just listen to stories.

Weather dependent we will be outside, with nibbles and drinks provided. Do feel free to bring anything you would like to share with others.
