Youth Cake-Off Winners!

The other week we announced that our young people from The Ranch were having an ‘Apprentice meets Bake-off’ style cake competition. The two teams were given the same amount of money for ingredients, did a lot of baking, and set themselves up to compete at Southmead Festival to raise funds for their summer activities.
The teams, girls versus boys, led by Youth workers Mason and Melody, were quick off the mark at the Festival to see who could make the most profit from their home-made cakes.
It was a close-run contest and both teams put in an amazing effort, but sadly there could only be one winner. Drumroll . . . it was the girls’ team who beat the boys by £1.80! Great job girls!
Well done to everyone who took part, and for all the energy and friendly competitive spirit, as well as the delicious cakes! Thank you to everyone who bought cakes to contribute to funds.
