We Need You! Be a Volunteer at Southmead Repair Cafe

Southmead Repair Café is becoming more popular month by month.  Our fantastic volunteers continue to share their excellent skills to fix, sew, and mend items, and we are really proud that most items can be repaired to give save them from landfill, avoid extra costs, and give loved items a longer lease of life.

We are now on the lookout for more skilled repairers to help. This could include, but is not limited to, sewing, electrical, woodwork, and general DIY.

Also, we would like to find an additional Welcome volunteer to join the team. This role would suit someone who is a good communicator, is comfortable talking to new people, has good organisational skills, and can multitask under pressure.

The role includes greeting people as they arrive with their items, recording the details of the item to be repaired, and matching the item with the right repairer.

Southmead Repair Café runs alongside the Greenway Market on the last Saturday of every month, apart from August, 12 – 3 PM. The next one is on Saturday 28th June.
