Fundraiser for Limb Power: Evening of Mediumship with Kez Eggleton

Everyone is invited to our event at the Greenway Centre on Friday 17th November to raise funds for Limb Power, the brilliant charity which supports thousands of children and adults whose lives are affected by limb loss or limb difference.  We couldn’t have got through without Limb Power’s support for our Harley.

Harley was born with a one in a million-condition called Tibial Hemimelia.  This means that his shin bone did not develop during pregnancy.  He also had 9 toes on one foot.  Harley was unable to stand and walk, struggled to balance, and we couldn’t find shoes or socks to fit him.

This led to us making the very hard decision that Harley’s leg needed to be amputated when he was just a year old.  Although it was tough, it was the best decision we could’ve made.  Harley now uses a prosthetic leg and lets nothing stop him or hold him back.  He can run, walk, jump, and has even completed a 10k sponsored walk over his local field raising money for charity.

Limb Power welcomed us when Harley was 6 months old.  They have supported us by holding sports days where Harley feels included, camps which allow Harley to take part in rock climbing and zip wiring, as well as ‘who has the ugliest stump’ competitions created by the children themselves!  The team at Limb Power are always on hand if we need any information, advice or just someone to talk to.

We need to raise as much money as possible to continue to support sending children to camp and being involved in activities.  Please come and help us to do it at our special Evening of Mediumship with Kez Eggleton, where you can enjoy receiving and listening to messages from loved ones, as well as taking part in a great raffle and eating cake!
