We Need: Adventure Playground Volunteers
01/11/2023

Volunteering at Southmead Adventure Playground (The Ranch) is an exciting role where you can have a real impact on the children and young people in our community.
You will work in our enthusiastic and dedicated Youth and Play team of staff and volunteers helping to run our open access sessions. As well as general play, the team offer young people the chance to do activities such as arts, crafts, music, sport and nature workshops. There’s no need to have any particular skills but all ideas for activities are welcome.
The Ranch also has a kitchen and we are always on the look out for volunteers who are able to cook meals and prepare food. We always offer a snack at our play sessions but this is particularly important during the holidays as we offer a meal to young people on free school meals. We also love it when we can learn about cooking and try different foods.
We are looking for a weekly commitment from volunteers and you are more than welcome to volunteer for more than one session a week.
We will carry out a DBS check before you start volunteering with us. If you already have a DBS which is on the update service you will be asked to provide this.
